I interviewed travelers at Joshua Tree National Park that had been living out of their vehicles for extended periods of time. I was interested in documenting their stories and getting a sense of their character and identities by photographing the sentimental objects that they brought with them. With such limited space, these chosen objects are often potent with meaning. The gallery is displayed with the objects followed by a portrait of the owners. For more details about their stories, visit the blog section of this website.
